What is Vestibular Therapy?

Vestibular therapy is a specialized form of physiotherapy intended to treat and improve the symptoms caused by vestibular disorders. It often involves manual head manoeuvres and a progressive program of exercises designed to reduce vertigo and dizziness, visual issues and imbalance and falls.

Acupuncture is an ancient practice of traditional Chinese medicine. According to the Chinese medical practitioner, the body has 2000 acupuncture points connected by pathways or meridians. These pathways are responsible for the body’s overall health. Applying acupuncture to certain points can improve the flow of energy, thus improving overall health.
Research and studies show that acupuncture is an effective cure for a wide range of health conditions.

The condition cannot be detected by tests such as MRI or CT scan as brain scans often do not show any brain abnormality, even when the person has Concussion symptoms.

Your health care expert will ask many questions to understand and determine all of the symptoms you are experiencing. They will also perform several tests to identify problems caused by a concussion, including muscle strength, coordination, balance, sight, smell, hearing and memory tests.

During the treatment, your therapist will repeat the same question and tests frequently to gauge your progress and help ascertain when you can return to everyday life, work, sports, or recreational activities.

Further, your health care provider may test your neck for problems following a Concussion. Neck injuries can cause Concussion and also increase headaches and dizziness.
